We seek a highly skilled and motivated Data Lead to join our dynamic team. As a vital data team member, you will lead and manage all aspects of data-related initiatives, primarily focusing on product data, big data analytics, and project management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong data management, engineering, analytics, and project leadership background and a passion for driving business success through actionable insights.

Take ownership by:

  • Owning the health and quality of Product, Customer, Internal Company, and revenue data.

  • Data platform design and solution engineering.

  • Partner with strategic decision-makers in the organization, influence decision-making, and lead meetings.

  • Lead projects maintaining responsibility for data analysis, implementation, training and improving processes using data-driven decisions and standardizing processes where applicable.

  • Understand business processes, the flow of data within and between processes, and recommend process improvements for better data quality and effectiveness.

  • Manage all technical operations at the system level to maintain the integrity of the operating environments and assure quality and consistency of all services to end-users.

  • Enhance overall productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by applying lean methodology, simplifying processes, and evaluating tools.

  • Ensure quality of CRM (Hubspot) data and operations.

  • Create and maintain documentation on data-related processes and policies

  • Lead the development and implementation of data strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure the effective collection, storage, and analysis of product data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, prioritize initiatives, and drive alignment on data-related projects and objectives.

  • Manage end-to-end data projects, from conception to execution, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, tracking, and reporting.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of product data to uncover actionable insights, trends, and opportunities for optimization and innovation.

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track data quality, accuracy, and utilization.

  • Build and lead a team of data analysts, scientists, and engineers, providing guidance, support, and expertise to foster professional growth and development.

Job requirements

  • More than 5 years experience in a data-focused role, with a strong emphasis on data engineering, analysis, big data, and project management.

  • Extensive Amazon Web Services and/or Azure experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; proven strong organizational and project management (time/budget) skills in a fast-paced and complex environment.

  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and presentation skills; you truly enjoy telling the story behind data. Ability to coach technical and non-technical staff.

  • Comfortable liaising and influencing at all levels with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve errors calmly and effectively, even under pressure.

  • Advanced spreadsheet skills with a strong understanding of Zendesk Sell or other CRM applications.

  • Deep understanding of data management principles, techniques, and technologies, including data modeling, warehousing, ETL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience in managing data technology stack:
    • AWS

    • Azure

    • Databricks

    • Apache Airflow

    • Snowplow

  • You’re honest, driven, and passionate about getting results and helping people.

  • Experience with SaaS products is a plus.
