Job description
Ready to own it, build it, and grow it?
About us:
We are Publitas, a remote-first, fast-growing SaaS company that helps brands turn static content into digital discovery experiences that drive results.
We’re not about busywork, hierarchy, or hand-holding. We hire sharp minds, trust them fully, and measure success by real results, not noise. If you thrive in autonomy, challenge, and high ownership, you’ll love it here.
We are looking for a WordPress Web Developer to join our marketing team and take ownership of maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing the Publitas website. You will work closely with our Web Content Designer to ensure the site is visually compelling, technically robust, SEO-friendly, and fully aligned with our brand strategy.
This role is ideal for someone who blends technical expertise with a marketing mindset, and who enjoys translating business objectives into high-performing web experiences.
This role is for you if you…
Get excited by taking ownership and figuring things out proactively
Thrive in a remote, async, fast-paced environment
Are striving to deliver impact, not just running tasks
Think in systems but execute with creativity
Are direct, collaborative, and have a growth mindset
This role is NOT for you if you…
Need layers of process or someone to constantly tell you what to do
Prefer “business as usual” over change
Want a team where mediocre is okay
Have never worked remotely and think async means “lonely”
Are waiting for permission instead of taking initiative
The work you’ll do…
Maintain and update the Publitas website, ensuring security, stability, and optimal performance.
Develop new pages, layouts, and features in line with marketing and brand requirements.
Implement and manage plugins, integrations, and tracking tools to support campaigns and lead generation.
Optimize site speed, SEO, and accessibility to improve user experience and search rankings.
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity.
Monitor and analyze website performance, recommending proactive improvements.
Job requirements
You are available part-time and can work 8-20 hours weekly. The workload is expected to be 20 hours per week in the first months, but this amount may be reduced with time.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience as a WordPress developer (3+ years).
Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and Google Analytics.
Experience integrating APIs, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), and marketing automation platforms.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design and usability.
Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive mindset — always looking for ways to improve site performance and user experience.
What We Provide to Help You Win…
A competitive hourly rate based on experience level and location.
Flexible part-time schedule.
Fully remote.
Collaboration with an experienced, passionate team!
How to Apply…
We don’t ask for CVs or cover letters. Why? Because they rarely tell us who you are or what you’re truly great at.
Instead, we ask smart questions and give you a chance to show us what you’d bring to the role.
No fluff. Just real insight into what it’s like to work together.

All done!
