Job description
Ready to own it, build it, and grow it?
About us:
We are Publitas! We’re a remote-first, fast-growing SaaS company helping brands turn static content into digital discovery experiences that drive results.
We’re not about busywork, hierarchy, or hand-holding. We hire sharp minds, trust them fully, and measure success by real results, not noise. If you thrive in autonomy, challenge, and high ownership, you’ll love it here.
This role is for you if you…
Love designing data models and dashboards that make information accessible, reliable, and actionable.
Enjoy working across multi-cloud data environments, leveraging Databricks, Azure, and AWS to design performant and flexible analytics solutions.
Thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional setting, translating complex data challenges into strategic business impact.
Care deeply about data quality, governance, and scalability, and know how to maintain them across distributed systems.
Take pride in structuring and standardizing development workflows that bring clarity, consistency, and reliability.
This role is NOT for you if you…
Need layers of process or someone to constantly tell you what to do
Prefer “business as usual” over change
Want a team where mediocre is okay
Have never worked remotely and think async means “lonely”
Are waiting for permission instead of taking initiative
Job requirements
The work you’ll do…
Design and develop scalable, high-performing dashboards and data models using Power BI, integrating data across Databricks, Azure, and AWS MySQL infrastructure.
Architect cross-cloud data pipelines, ensuring seamless interoperability between Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and AWS data services.
Define and implement Power BI architecture standards - modeling conventions, governance practices, and DAX performance optimization.
Establish and maintain a version-controlled Power BI development workflow using tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or Fabric.
Create automated validation, monitoring, and documentation pipelines to ensure accuracy and trust in published data.
Collaborate closely with data engineering, product, and operations teams to transform raw data into decision-ready insights.
Lead the standardization of Power BI development and maintenance processes — including versioning, documentation, and deployment lifecycle.
Identify structural bottlenecks and design long-term, scalable solutions that improve efficiency and maintainability.
Champion data democratization by designing governed, reusable data models accessible company-wide.
Who you are…
Experienced Power BI Engineer with 5+ years designing, developing, and maintaining complex BI solutions in enterprise or SaaS environments.
Fluent in cross-cloud architecture - you’ve integrated Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Cosmos DB) with AWS services and understand how to optimize performance between platforms.
Strong in Databricks for data transformation and orchestration.
Skilled in MS-SQL and MySQL, with a deep understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and schema design.
Experienced in DAX, Power Query (M), and the end-to-end Power BI lifecycle (from dataset modeling to deployment pipelines).
Detail-oriented and systematic - you seek root causes, not temporary patches.
Excellent communicator who can translate technical complexity into clear business insight.
Passionate about building robust data ecosystems that scale with organizational growth.
What We Provide to Help You Win…
Salary: €50,000–€80,000 per year (gross), depending on your experience level and location.
25 vacation days + your local national holidays
A top-tier MacBook and remote-ready gear
Monthly wellness budget to invest in your health
Co-Working allowance
Events, training, or courses that directly and primarily contribute to your work at Publitas
Free books on Kindle and Audible
Free Publitas Swag (merchandise)
How to Apply…
We don’t ask for CVs or cover letters. Why? Because they rarely tell us who you are or what you’re truly great at.
Instead, we ask smart questions and give you a chance to show us what you’d bring to the role.
No fluff. Just real insight into what it’s like to work together.
